Privacy policy

This policy applies to synatic.ch and all its pages. Last updated: 20 October 2026.

Controller

Synatic AG, represented by the Board of Directors, Weissensteinstrasse 88, 4500 Solothurn, Switzerland. Questions about data protection: info@synatic.ch.

Principle

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and only as far as necessary to operate this website. The website is deliberately built to collect little data: fonts, images and all other parts are served from our own server. Without your consent to «Marketing», no connection to third-party servers is made during your visit, and there are no ad networks, no social media plug-ins and no Google Analytics or similar services.

Server log data

When you visit this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data that our server logs: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, status code and amount of data transferred, as well as details of your browser and operating system. This data is used solely to deliver the website, fix faults and fend off attacks. It is not combined with other data sources and not used to build usage profiles.

These logs are not archived long term: their size per service is limited and they are continuously overwritten during operation, so older entries drop out automatically.

Visit measurement without consent: no cookie

So that we understand which content helps, synatic.ch measures even without your consent — without a cookie, without storage in your browser and without storing your IP address:

To group visits from the same day, our server derives a check value from your IP address and browser identifier together with a random value that changes daily (salt). Only this check value is stored; the IP address and browser identifier are not. The salt is deleted after the following day, after which the check value can no longer be linked to anyone.

On some pages (such as the legal notice and the former website under /v1) we instead keep only aggregated counters: per day, page, origin and rough device type. No check value is created there, and individual visits are not recognised.

If your browser sends the «Do Not Track» signal, we do not measure or count at all. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-minimising reach measurement.

With your consent to «Statistics»

Only if you allow «Statistics» do we set our own cookie sy2_bid with a random identifier (lifetime 12 months). It lets us recognise your browser pseudonymously and see your path across several visits and days: pages and sections, order, time spent, entry and exit, campaign. We do not know who you are.

If you send us a request through the contact form, this pseudonymous journey is linked to your request — then we know which campaign and which content brought you to us. Without consent to «Statistics», this does not happen.

With your consent to «Marketing»

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is intended to measure the success of our LinkedIn posts. It is currently not switched on: even with your consent, nothing is loaded from LinkedIn at present. As soon as it is switched on, we will update this policy.

There is no company identification via the IP address and no fingerprinting.

Where and how long data is stored

All measurement data is stored on our own servers in Switzerland and deleted after 12 months. We store your consent decision in your browser (localStorage); if you have allowed something, also in the cookie sy2_einw (12 months) so that our server respects it too. «Necessary only» sets no cookie on the website (for the video call under /melden, see above). After 12 months we ask again. If you choose a language (DE/EN), we also remember it only in your browser (localStorage, no cookie); it is not sent to us.

Contact form and e-mail

If you write to us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the details you provide (name, e-mail address, optionally company, phone and topic, and your message) in order to answer your request. We only collect what is needed for this.

Requests sent via the form are recorded in our internal processing system (Hub), which is hosted in Switzerland; only authorised staff have access. We do not pass these details on to third parties. Requests that are not pursued are deleted after twelve months at the latest. If a request leads to a business relationship, we keep the details within that relationship for as long as necessary and legally permitted.

To protect against automated abuse, the form uses a hidden check field and limits how often it can be sent. No third-party services are involved.

Damage reports via QR sticker (synatic.ch/melden)

Using a QR sticker on a system, you can report damage without an account. Only the description is required; urgency, type of problem, phone or e-mail, name and availability are optional. The sticker's identifier is sent with the report so that we know which property it concerns. We process these details to have the damage repaired and keep them for as long as handling the case requires or the law demands.

The report is seen by authorised staff of our on-call centre and by the property management in its customer portal. A trade business receives your name, contact, availability and address only once you have consented to the disclosure and it accepts the job; before that it sees only a preview without personal data. Every such disclosure is logged. If you gave an e-mail address, we inform you by e-mail when a business accepts the job and when it is completed.

If the report goes to the on-call centre, we wake the person on duty via WhatsApp: with urgency, case number, report text and the property address, without your name. This message runs through WhatsApp (Meta) servers and may leave Switzerland.

If the centre is staffed, you can accept a video call. Camera and microphone are used only after «Accept» and your permission in the browser; picture and sound go directly between the browsers and are not recorded. Chat messages are kept on our server only during the call and are deleted when you hang up, at the latest when the call room ends. For the call we set the technically necessary cookie synatic-pikettraum (for this call only, 30 minutes at most). To prevent abuse we limit the number of reports per sender; the IP address is counted for this in memory only.

No chatbot, no AI processing

There is currently no chatbot and no AI-based processing of your input on this website. No content is sent to external AI services. Should such an assistant be activated in the future, this policy will be updated beforehand.

Hosting

This website and its data are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. We receive e-mails to us via Microsoft 365.

Disclosure to third parties and abroad

We do not sell personal data and pass it on only as described in this policy (for damage reports to the property management and trade business, for FokusLink reports to the business of the link) or where we are legally obliged to. Data may reach other countries through the on-call centre's WhatsApp alert and our e-mail service (Microsoft 365).

Your rights

Under the revFADP you have the right to information about the data processed about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You may also object to processing and request your data in a common format. Please contact info@synatic.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

You can change your cookie choice at any time — here or via «Cookie settings» in the page footer. When you withdraw «Statistics», we delete the cookie sy2_bid in your browser immediately.

Changes

We may adapt this privacy policy if the website or the legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
